were successfully lowered with the participation of SHW 16th Regional Manager Ali Naci KÖSALI and his Sta§.

The Dam and HEPP with a total cost of 1 billion € will contribute TRY 1,3 billion annually to the national economy only
from electricity generation. Ilısu Dam will increase the welfare level of our region with the contribution on both irrigation
and energy to the country’s economy, changing the lifestyle and life quality. The project will also solve the problem of
unemployment in the region, providing employment to 4.000 people and will provide a source of income for 28.000 people
together with their families. In addition to being a project for agriculture and energy, it will make significant contributions to
the cultural, economic and social development of the region.
