Ilısu Dam &

Ilısu Dam, constructed by the State Hydraulic
Works (SHW) with a Rockfill Concrete Type
at the front, has the longest dam crest of
the world, in addition it will be the 4 dam

of Turkey with the largest installed capacity.
The construction work of the 1.200 MW Ilısu
Dam and HEPP Project is continued with a
great devotion by NUROL - Cengiz consortium
in this period when the terror problem in the
Southeast is experienced most intensely.

Ilısu Dam and HEPP Project are two of the
world’s largest water structures within the 100-
year vision of our country and also constitutes
one of the two phases of the GAP Project.

The installed power of the Ilısu Dam, which is
131 meters above sea level, is 1.200 MW and
will generate an average of 4,12 billion kWh of
energy annually. A total of 23,76 million cubic
meters of body fill and a total of 104.000 cubic
meters of frontal concrete were completed.
The total physical realization of Ilısu Dam
reached 97%.
