Highway Construction

Gebze – Orhangazi Section

The construction works within the scope of
contract that NUROL signed with NÖMAYG
(Employer) for the section approximately 9
km length that takes place between Gebze -
Orhangazi (Ch: 34+350-43+296) of “Gebze -
Orhangazi - İzmir Motorway (Including Izmit
bay suspension bridge and access roads )”
(Figure 1), which is constructed with Build-
Operate-Transfer model under the obligation
of Otoyol A.Ş. (Company In Charge) has been
completed by the end of March 2016. This
section of motorway was opened to the
traffic on April 2016. Responsibility area of
NUROL takes place between Samanlı Tunnel
exit and Orhangazi (Figure 2). Earth works,
structures, geotechnical works, landscape,
toll collection and secondary works (utility
relocations, service and park areas) are under
the responsibility of NUROL, pavement works
are excluded. In addition to service area on
Ch:37+500, K4 Junction and toll collection
Figure 1 area were constructed on Ch: 40+000 of the
Motorway.
