Ilısu Dam and Hydroelectric Plant Project on
Tigris River, 44 km. from Syria Border is concrete-
covered rockfill type which has longest dam crest
of this type on the world. The project which is
designed to provide electric power will have 1200
MW installed capacity and yield 4120 GWh electric
power annually.
Ilısu Dam which is one of the main components of
Southeastern Anatolia Project with Ataturk Dam,
has 24 million m rockfill dam volume and filling

works are completed. Power house has 6 units.
Construction and assembly of Building and Electro
Mechanic works continue.
When Power house is completed, project will be
fourth biggest Hydroelectric Power Plant of Turkey.
Construction works on Concrete gravity dam and
overflow dam are carried on and to get ready for
water retention is targeted at the end of 2016.
Within the project, the bridges of which the
construction work is carried out by us has been put
out to tender by General Directorate of Highways
in order Hasankeyf to be moved upper grades and
to cross the ways present in Ilısı Dam with bridges.
