he steel structure of the South Access Viaduct, which is located right
after the Draw Bridge, is an important structure which requires a high
production technology (it requires engineering phases with extensive
knowledge such as processing of crude steel, controlling and testing
Tstages and onsite assembly) as much as the construction of drawbridges
and which will be completely done by the Turkish contractors.
The South Access Viaduct will be erected in the Cape Hersek part of the project as a
steel deck over the 11 units of steel legs in the route of 1378.92 metres between the
point Km 7+081, 76 starting with the concrete access pillar at the end of southern
part of the Drawbridge and the point Km 8+460, 68 which is the last concrete pillar
from the south direction.
