FEBRUARY 2025 36. ISSUEOFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY OF THE YUSUFEL%u0130 CENTRAL VIADUCT The Yusufeli Central Viaduct was officially inaugurated during a ceremony. With pier heights exceeding 150 meters in certain sections and constructed using the push-launch method, the viaduct spans a 685-meter segment of a 16.2 km road around the reservoir, shortening the route by 15.5 km. The project is anticipated to reduce travel time between Yusufeli and Artvin by 25 minutes, generate annual time savings worth TRY 30 million, and decrease fuel consumption costs by TRY 13 million. Additionally, it is projected to lower carbon emissions by 1,005 tons annually. CONSTRUCTION NEWS44
