Since the day of its establishment, the Nurol Group of
Companies has been offering products and services that
satisfy the needs of both societies and countries, flying
The armored vehicles being produced by Nurol Makina Editor
its flag with pride in every location with the projects it
has completed, both in Turkey and abroad. When Nurol
is mentioned, “quality and trust” come to mind first,
especially in defense industry where these notions are
                 challenged the most.

In this issue, we will be introducing one of our group
companies which takes firm steps ahead towards a
global brand with their vehicle design and manufacturing
that make a difference in defense industry sector.

feature high levels of protection and agility, and are today being put to use especially withinthe Turkish Armed
Forces (TAF) and the Turkish National Police (TNP). Accordingly, Nurol Makina takes pride in the continuation of
its activities in the defense sector, and in its year-on-year increases in export figures.

There are interesting stories behind the names given to the vehicles of Nurol Makina, such as Ejder Yalçın, which
has become the vehicle of choice of our security forces. It has equally attracted considerable public praise. Another
name is YÖRÜK (Nomad), which was inspired by the words of ATATÜRK: “My Friends! Go and look at the Taurus
Mountains; if you see even one nomad tent, and if there is smoke coming out from that tent, you should know
well that no power or force in this world can ever defeat us.”
Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, who was nominated as “THE SPIRIT OF MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
PEOPLES AND LASTING PEACE BETWEEN THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD” by UNESCO 40 years after his death,
gave his opinion of world peace in a conversation two years prior to World War II: “People should think about the
peace and prosperity of all the nations of the world as much as they think about the existence and happiness of
their own nation... Because working for the happiness of the nations of the world means, in other way, working
to ensure one’s own peace and happiness. If there is no peace, clarity and good harmony between the nations of
the world, regardless of what a nation does for itself, it would lack peace.

We cannot know whether an event that we today consider distant to us will reach us one day or not. All humanity
should therefore be considered as a single body in which each nation is an organ. A pain in the fingertip affects
all other organs in that body. If there’s a disturbance anywhere in the world, we should not say ‘I don’t care.’ If
there is such a disturbance, we should address it as if it is between us...”

40 years after this decision, we commemorate our great leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK with deep respect and
gratitude, and thank him for his efforts to better of both our country and the world.
TAF and the Turkish Law Enforcement Forces have added the domestic and national products of our defense
sector to their inventories, allowing them to effectively repel the threats faced both within our territories and
abroad, most recently in Operation Peace Spring, which was initiated to stop the corridor of terrorism that was
being established on Turkey’s southern border, and to bring peace and tranquility to the region. Our desire to see
our heroic Turkish soldiers, who are serving for the peace and prosperity of the nations of the world, to complete
their duties without any harm and to bring peace to the lands in which they set foot is a reflection of the ideas of
our great leader Atatürk, who had made it his goal to reach the level of contemporary civilizations.

                                                                                           Meral SARI CEYLAN
