Ordu Ring Road Project undertaken by NUROL-YÜKSEL-
ÖZKA-YDA was awarded on November 16, 2011 and
started on February 22, 2012, following the signing of the
contract on February 07, 2012. The project consists of 19,1
km 2x2 split motorway that leaves from Akçaova River
and passes Boztepe, Civil Creek and Melet River through
a tunnel and two viaducts, reaches Ordu University, and
beyond it connects to the coastal road at Turnasuyu
Village. The scope of the project includes Boztepe (3.310
m) and Öceli (2.020 m) tunnels with total length of 5.330
m. Project also includes Civil (673 m) and Melet (1.198
m) viaducts with total length of 1.871 m. Through the
route of the project, there are three interchanges named
Perşembe, Ulubey and Doğu respectively.
Due to the needs of local stakeholders, environmental
conditions and geological reasons; project has been
renovated and total road length of the projects has
increased from 19,1 km to 21,4 km. With this renovation, T1 (440 m), T2 (1.740 m), T3 (802m) and Terzili (1.180 m) tunnels were
also included to the scope of the project, and length of the Melet Viaduct was increased from 1.189 m to 1.796 m as a result of
renovation of Sanayi Interchange. Additionally; Akçatepe-1 (202 m), Akçatepe-2 (148 m) and Turnasuyu (335 m) viaducts were
included to the project and total viaduct length of the project reached to 2.481 m. In conclusion; instead of connecting to coastal
road at Turnasuyu Village, Ordu Ring Road project has become a more environmentally friendly project that connects to a closer
location to the Ordu-Giresun Airport from east side of Turnasuyu.
In the construction of 21.4 km Ordu Ring Road, Phase 1 (10,7 km) works between Perşembe Interchange and Bus Terminal
Interchange were completed and opened to service on March 03, 2019. Phase 2 (10,7 km) is under construction and planned to
be opened to traffic in 2021.
