                                                                  As of the signing date of the contract, substantial
                                                               works such as financing and the necessary “due diligence”
                                                               operations and physical manufactures have been
                                                               accomplished.


                                                                   In fact, the project has been divided into two phases
                                                               and Phase I works between Gebze-Bursa, where  Samanlı
                                                               Tunnel with a length of 3.5 km is located with the Izmit Bay
                                                               Crossing  Suspension  Bridge and  the  approach  viaducts,
                                                               have made significant progress. Mandates have been
                                                               signed with banks concerning the financing. Environmental
                                                               and Social Impact Assessment  Report of the project has
                                                               come to the phase of completion and the Expropriation
                                                               Report (LACRP) has taken its final form as a document to
                                                               which the creditors give great importance and which has
                                                               strong social aspects . In addition to this, traffic reports have
                                                               been prepared, Maintenance and Operation reports have
                                                               been completed and international tender has been realised
                                                               for Maintenance and Operation and tender assessment
                                                               process has come to an end. In the field, the greater part
                                                               of the site construction has been completed, manufactures
                                                               such as botanical excavation especially for Phase I and craft
                                                               construction have commenced.  Some critical manufactures
                                                               including the Samanlı Tunnel have been started by the end
                                                               of 2011. Within this process, both the creditor banks and
                                                               their related consultants have started to realise the field
                                                               visits and have expressed their unforeseen satisfaction.
