ISSUEActivities of the Lapseki Umut I%u015f%u0131%u011f%u0131 Women%u2019s Initiative Production and Business CooperativeEstablished by T%u00dcMAD Madencilik as part of its community development projects, the \Women%u2019s Initiative Production and Business Cooperative\was created to help women and young people enter the workforce, transform their skills into economic value, and encourage their active participation in social and economic life. Together with stakeholder women from Yenicek%u00f6y, the cooperative members engaged in meaningful collaborations for International Women%u2019s Day on March 8 and World Environment Day on June 5. As part of these initiatives, handcrafted products such as lavender sachets and canvas bags, meticulously sewn by the women, were purchased by T%u00dcMAD Madencilik and gifted to female employees at the Headquarters, Lapseki, and %u0130vrindi Facilities on International Women%u2019s Day. Additionally, compost sacks sewn by the women were used to transport compost distributed to stakeholder villages on World Environment Day.These handcrafted products, created by stakeholder women, play a vital role in promoting environmental awareness while supporting women%u2019s labor and contributions to the community.COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY NEWS 14
