As social beings, people have certain goals and
needs to lead their lives in a community. To meet
these needs which control our behaviors is the
main purpose of individuals. Desire to survive is
the most basic reason of the instincts underlying
our efforts. If the main physiological needs (air,
food, water etc.) are satisfied sufficiently, then
secondary needs can be met. This is the need for
safety. Human beings take measures to protect
themselves thinking of not only today but also
tomorrow. They build shelter. They surround
themselves with walls. Then they start saving
food, beverage and money for the future.
History of sheltering starts with turning the
existing areas in nature into living quarters. In
order to fulfil this need, human beings lived in
natural formations such as caves, rock shelters
and hollows for millions of years. The instinct for shelter was earlier only because of safety concerns
whereas later it evolved into a different concept with the emergence of feelings of possession and privacy.
Eventually, living quarters started to be chosen and ruled by the human beings with an increase in human
intelligence. It took more than a million years to reach house construction technology after the transition
to permanent settlement.
In order to allow for social interactions, today’s residences are designed not only as a shelter but also a
private living quarter with their environment and activities.
Security is one of the most important concerns of people who look for a place to raise their children without
worrying and to provide them with a happy, peaceful family atmosphere. People increasingly want to walk
away from the hectic life, chaos and possible dangers of the city. Today, where the time is gold, they also
want to meet their needs easily in a certain context.
The most stressed aspect of gated housing estates is that the residence you buy is not only an apartment
but also a “life style”. Residents in housing estates have similar consumption habits and a certain level
of purchasing power. These housing estates provide the residents with an area separated psychologically
and physically with the help of their atmosphere including surrounding walls, high-tech security, controlled
entrances and specially-trained guards. Therefore, the people living in those residences which symbolize a
life style of their own feel “distinguished and privileged”.
In the housing estates a wide range of activities are introduced depending on the community they speak
to and the life style planned. Residences are presented to their buyers along with the surrounding sport
areas and places designed according to their special taste and interests. This also means that the private
living space at home enlarges to some extent. In time the residents start to see the area surrounded by
walls as their own home. They feel as if their apartment is not only the 100 or 200-m² area but the whole
housing estate. In other words, the housing estate represents an enlarged version of their little, private
apartments. They also feel like the road they walk on from the security gate, the mall they shop in, the
patisserie they have a cup of coffee at and the gym they go to are a part of their lives.
Moreover, these housing estates promise that lost neighborhood life. Even if it sounds like a dream, there
is a hope that this life still exists, which renders these housing estates more attractive.
For this very reason, we are doing our best for people to touch their dreams in our projects with a world’s
brand, Nurol Construction quality. Perhaps you too can touch your dreams walking through the pages of
this issue about our last projects Nurol Tower, Nurol Life and Nurol Park which are brought to life by Nurol
Real Estate Investment Company.
