Construction work of the highway for the Tizi-Ouzou city connection to the main East-West Highway with the length of
48 km has been given to the joint venture of Özgün-Nurol- Engoa (Groupement O.N.E.) with the 538 million Euros valued
contract signed on 12.02.2014. With the addendum approved in December 2016, total BOQ has reached 607 million Euros.
In three main campsites (Boukhalfa, Draa El Mizane and Djebahia) and in the tunnel site, four concrete plants, a mobile
crusher and an asphalt plant are in. For the project, a total of 1.950 personnel have been hired including Turkish and
Algerian locals and with more than 550 pieces of machinery the works are being carried out. Besides our own resources,
some Turkish and local subcontractors are being used as well in our project which has a huge importance for both our
companies and the local people.

Within the project, over 12 millions m³ of excavation and 1.4 million m³ of fill have already been completed.
The project contains of 21 viaducts with a total length of 2x10.500 meters including the longest one of 1.773 m. One
balanced cantilever viaduct is almost completed and works for seven more are being carried out.

For the two tunnels with total length of 2x1.57 km, construction works at six tunnel faces are going on at the same time.
Temporary supports and excavation works have reached 1.450 meters.

Asphalt works has started from the Tizi-Ouzou side of the highway. Plant mix base and asphalt works are going on.
The works for opening to traªc the km 0+000 - 10+000 section of the road is going on. Km 0+000 - 2+000 is palnned
to be open to traªc soon.

For the general, over 40% of the total work has been completed so far.
