he Kiğı Dam and HEPP located at Bingöl is being
realized under the investment of DSI. This plant
Twill be installed on Murat River. The fabrication
and installation works of hydromechanical equipment is
being carried out by NUROL STEEL within the scope of
permanent mechanical equipment project.
The fabrication work of penstock pipes of the project is
started in the first half of year 2014 and the fabrication
of them has already been completed. Hydromechanical
equipment works within the scope of the project are
continuing. The plant will be put into operation at the
end of 2015 and its annual production capacity will be 650
GWh.
The scope of the contract is including
- Radial gates and embedded elements
- Gate Lifting Assembly and control assemblies,
- Bottom Outlet valves & Gates and control
mechanisms,
- Penstock pipe and steel supports,
- Power plant traveling (mobile) crane and portal
(gantry) cranes
- Switchyard and cable channel steel structures

ukarı Kaleköy Dam and HEPP, located on Murat

Ycompletion.The total installed power of the plant
will be 625 MW and the annual production amount
will be 1.505 GWh. The fabrication and installation of
Hydromechanical Equipment are performed by NUROL
STEEL and it will be commissioned at the end of 2015.
The scope of the contract is including:
- Spillway Cofferdam Gates and embedded
elements and lifting beam,
- Spillway radial gates embedded elements and
lifting assembly,
- Energy inlet grates, service gates, cofferdam
gates and embedded elements,
- Power Plant Building inlet pipe covers,
embedded elements and gate lifting assemblies,
- Penstock pipe and accessories Φ6.400, Φ2.200
- Butterfly Valve
- Conic Valve and
- Portal (Gantry) Cranes
EX-FACTORY FABRICATIONS
n addition to the fabrication works in connection with NUROL STEEL’s own contracts, it is also performing the
fabrication and erection works for hydromechanical and electromechanical items being under the contractual scope
Frame”, “Draft Tube with Cone”, “Upper & Lower Bracket”, etc. are the examples of such works.
More specifically;
● 3 pcs 5.400 mm diameter Draft Tube and Cone of Yukarı
Kaleköy Dam and HEPP, which are under the contractual
scope of Voith Company, are being manufactured in two
pieces. The fabrication of 3 units Spiral Case of Yukarı Kaleköy
Dam and HEPP are going on, as well. Pit Liner and Spiral Case
Pressure Test Gates projects are the works contract of which
were recently awarded to NUROL STEEL.
●Artvin Dam and HEPP turbine, generator and switchyard
equipment are the contractual responsibility of Alstom
Company, for 7 units. The Spillway Cofferdam Gates with
1.500x5.500x1.6000 mm dimensions are being manufactured
by NUROL STEEL. Currently the fabrication of 4 units of Tail
water Gates are continuing and it is planned to be completed
within the year of 2014.
● Yukarı Kaleköy turbine and generator project is under the
contractual responsibility of Andritz Hydro Company. The
fabrication of Stator Frame (being the most critical parts for
fixing the generator and rotors) are currently continuing. The
fabrication, which is performed in two pieces and at 11.500 connection with Çetin HEPP project being under the
mm diameter, shall be delivered at the end of 2014. Similarly, contractual responsibility of Andritz Company
the derivation Entrance and Exit Tunnels Embedded Elements
contract has been recently awarded to NUROL STEEL, in
