As part of our April 23 activities, we invited children to take part in the art, intelligence and fun
workshops organized for Ma&Me&Pa Ankara. We handed out the books Mita and the Mysterious
Pearl (Mita ve Gizemli İnci) and Lemur Lemi, Mirket Ari ve Diğerleri (Lemur Lemi, Mirket Ari and
Others) written by academician and author Elif Özmenek Çarmıklı to the children as presents, who
enjoyed the chance to have their books signed by the author. The adults were not left out, being
invited to join an awareness raising discussion with Mrs. Çarmıklı while their children enjoyed the
workshops.
In Istanbul, we went on an adventure at Xtrem Adventures, where families and children enjoyed
the playground together, with lots of rope parkour suited to different age groups. We made the
most of a sunny day together.
