A NEW SEASON, NEW BEAUTIES, NEW HOPES...
We are about to open yet another season at our art gallery, beginning the 2018 -19 season
with enthusiasm and great excitement. We will do our best to contribute to the art scene
in Ankara through our exhibitions, featuring both young artists and leading figures in the
Turkish plastic arts, as we have done in the past. Our gallery is a leading and highly valued
venue for fine arts in Ankara, thanks to its 17-year history and the trust owed to Nurol’s
reputation.
We will continue our activities with exhibitions, Nurol workshops and other events,
including autograph sessions, while raising the bar even higher. We opened the season
with an exhibition of the paintings of young artist Işın Nur CİCERALİ. Işın brought a new
dimension to her exhibition this year by presenting portraits of women on wood, in addition
to her canvas paintings. The second exhibition of the season featured the paintings of Işıl
and Tanju ÖZIŞIK. The couple spend most of their time at their home in Washington, but
maintain their bonds with their country by holding exhibitions and participating at fairs in
Turkey every year. We host a very important photography exhibition this year featuring the
works of Gültekin ÇİZGEN, a veteran photographer, who will hold an exhibition at our gallery Işıl - Tanju ÖZIŞIK
in December. Exhibitions of the works of Abidin ELDEROĞLU and Adnan TURANİ will be
among the other major events of the year.
The exhibition, featuring the paintings of both masters of painting who have both passed
away will be organized with the support of their families. A glass exhibition by Anadolu
University and an exhibition of the paintings and sculptures of Toygun ORBAY are also
among the highlights of our program. In addition to these exhibitions, the doors of the Nurol
workshop were opened in October by instructor Hüseyin YILDIRIM. Meanwhile, our gallery is
a regular destination for, in particular, preschool and primary school pupils.

Fine arts will come to play a key role in a child’s life if he or she is introduced to it early in
his or her life, and it is for this reason that we are expanding our cooperation with schools.
Extending the scope of our activities at our gallery by organizing weekend panel discussions
and autograph sessions with well-known figures from different fields is another major goal
that we have set. In addition, we will be participating at art fairs in both Ankara and Istanbul.
The participation and support of the Nurol family at all of these events is very precious to us.
We look forward to meeting you on days filled with fine art...
