An important event was held on the evening
of November 10 in Toronto on the sidelines
of the events organized to celebrate the
75th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between Turkey and Canada, and November 11
Remembrance Day, which is a very important
day for Canadians. It was also intended to
remember Ataturk on the 80th anniversary
of his death. Yüksel MADEN, the manager of
the Nurol Art Gallery, was also in attendance
for the Hikmet ÇETİNKAYA exhibition and
performance, organized jointly by the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and
Tourism and the Canadian General Consulate.
Visitors enjoyed the exhibition in the foyer as
a choir sang songs on the stage, while Hikmet
ÇETİNKAYA demonstrated his painting skills
at the end of the event. The event was held
at the Isabel Bader Theatre, one of the main
culture and convention centers in Toronto, and
attracted many distinguished guests, including
ministers, MPs and diplomats. Earlier in the
day, Erdeniz ŞEN, Turkish Consul General to
Canada, painter Hikmet ÇETİNKAYA, and
Yüksel MADEN visited Toronto-Mississauga
Mayor Bonnie Crombie to present her with a
painting by Hikmet ÇETİNKAYA and a Nurol CD.
The visitors received a warm welcome from the
consulate general staff.
