Turkish defence company FNSS, which was established in 1988, manufactures armoured combat vehicles for Malaysian and Saudi Arabian armies, as well as for the Turkish Armed Forces. %51 of the shares of FNSS, which is the private sector establishment intended for defence industry in Turkey, belongs to Nurol Holding and the remaining 49% belong to BAE Systems. Nail Kurt, CEO of FNSS, said during his statement to Zaman, “Today, the company which was materialized thanks to the encouragement of deceased President of the Republic, Turgut Ozal, makes exportation worth millions of Dollars. It sells weapons to the armies all around world. It runs a factory belonging to Saudi Arabia Armed Forces. The factory in Arabia manufactures armoured combat vehicles. We are also considering manufacturing weapon tower systems in this country. The size of the works we have been conducted by now in Arabia has reached to 600 million Dollars.” In conclusion, he mentioned that the platform called Amphibious Assault Bridge attracts the attention of Western Europe Countries and since this production is manufactured only by FNSS throughout the world, they are hopeful about the European market.
