Irakli Koplatadze, Ambassador of Georgia in Ankara, hosted a reception because of the national day. Besides Efkan Ala, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Yaşar Güler, the Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff, senior military authorities, several foreign mission representatices and guests have participated in the reception held in Sheraton Hotel. In his speech, Ministry Efkan Ala, has referred to the contribution of Turkey and Georgia in the peace and stability in the region. On the other hand, Ambassador Koplatadze has specified that 23rd anniversay of the independence of Georgia is celebrated and indicated “Republic of Turkey is one of the first countries which recognized the independence of Georgia”. Following the speeches, the Ministry Ala, the Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff Yaşar Güler, the Chairman of the Board of Nurol Holding and the Honorary Consul of Georgia Nurettin Çarmıklı and the Ambassador Koplatadze cut the national day cake.
