The paintings of Kaya Öztoprak, a young generation Turkish painter, are being exhibited at the Nurol Art Gallery in Ankara, tearing us out of the depressing and moody environment that surrounds us and carrying visitors into springtime. Lifted these feelings, we had the opportunity to conduct a short interview with Öztoprak: When I visited your latest painting exhibition, I found cheerful paintings and thought “What a relief!” Did you aim to give us a break and let us take a breath? “I paint pictures of happiness. I like emphasising the beautiful aspects of life and adding value to the usual flow of life. As a person who believes in the healing aspect of art, I try to make the world an even more beautiful place with my paintings, and my intention is to never give up this effort.”
