FNSS, which exhibited PARS 4X4 as one of the two prototype vehicles produced within the scope of Arms Transporters Project (STA) and the first weapon of this vehicle as Remote Commander Antitank Tower (UKTK) in Eurosatory, has taken attention in the exhibition with the launching celebration made in the first day. Ismail Hakkı Musa, Turkey’s Paris Ambassador, and Defense Industry Vice President Prof. Dr. Faruk Yigit participated in the ceremony as well as the members of the press.
FNSS General Manager and CEO K. Nail Kurt emphasized that they developed two prototypes and they developed UKTK within a short period of 18 months from the beginning of the project. Kurt, who mentioned that KORNET anti-tank missiles and tests of the vehicle were completed, said the following about the vehicle which is not yet within the inventory: “The fact that the vehicle was developed as a platform carrying weapons does not mean that it cannot take on different tasks. For example, one of the first tasks that comes to our minds is discovery. When it comes to different tasks, I have to say that the vehicle has export potential. In fact, in line with the demands of the land forces of various friendly and allied countries, we will carry out different tests this year. Two different countries in the Middle East are very interested in this vehicle. ”
PARS 4×4 STA has been developed as a collaborative work with Nurol Makina as of the design phase. Kurt said the following about his subject: “This project draws attention with the fact that the design works were carried out in the partnership of two companies. This is not something we’re used to experiencing in Turkey. We will continue this cooperation with Nurol Makina in the future. ”
