Kenan Keskin, the Director of 7th Regional Highways, remarked that the first phase of Ordu Ring Road, the opening of which was continually postponed due to landslide, would be put into service at the end of January in 2018. Keskin stated that asphalt pavement on tunnels and viaducts were initiated and the opening of the completed section from Öceli Tunnel exit and Öceli-1 Viaduct was delayed by the actual landslide for a while, and pointed out that 399 protective piles were driven into Öceli Tunnel exit and 162 into Öceli-1 Viaduct section for landslide improvement and the said operations were still ongoing.
