Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the 2024 Turkey Mining Summit brought together industry stakeholders to discuss the future of mining. The event, held at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention Center as part of World Miners Day, welcomed Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, alongside industry representatives, academics, and public officials.
During the summit, the Responsible Mining Awards were presented to honor best practices in the sector. TÜMAD Madencilik was honored with the “Sustainable Mining Practice of the Year” award for its project “Educating the Miners of the Future for Sustainable Development.”
TÜMAD continues to lead the way in responsible mining, with a focus not only on today but also on shaping the future. General Manager Hasan Yücel received the award from Minister Bayraktar.
