TÜMAD Mining Industry and Trade Inc. has dispatched 2,000 relief boxes to the Vefa Support Group established by the Lapseki District Governorate, to be distributed among families in need living in the center, towns and villages of Lapseki. Delivering a speech at the launch of the program, held in front of the Lapseki District Governorate building, Tahir Şahin, the District Governor, said: “Since its establishment, the Lapseki Vefa social support group has responded to the needs of some 850 citizens. Throughout the process, our teams have worked in the field in cooperation with the Municipality staff to identify the needs. Once the needs were identified, we held a joint meeting with the officials of two large companies operating in our district. As a result of the meeting, which was held with the attendance of our Mayor, the companies kindly agreed to provide 2,000 food parcels to support our district. The Lapseki Vefa group will distribute the boxes today. Since the beginning of the process, 80–85 percent of our fellow citizens have been staying at home, with the belief that we will overcome these critical days together. We would like to repeat our call now: Please stay at home. We are at your service to meet all your needs. We have mobilized all our teams for this purpose. Stay at home Lapseki”.
