Organized under the auspices of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, the 2024 Türkiye Mining Summit served as a prestigious platform where key issues shaping the future of the mining sector were discussed. Organized in honor of World Miners’ Day, the summit took place at the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention Center and was attended by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, industry representatives, academics, and public officials.
As part of the event, the Responsible Mining Awards recognized the best practices in the sector. TÜMAD Mining was honored with a major award for its outstanding achievements in sustainability!
With its project “Training the Miners of the Future for Sustainable Development,” TÜMAD received the “Sustainable Mining Practice Award of the Year”. This recognition highlights the company’s commitment not only to today’s mining industry but also to shaping a responsible and sustainable future. TÜMAD’s General Manager, Hasan Yücel, accepted the award from Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar.
