The February Ordinary Assembly Meeting of ATO (Ankara Chamber of Commerce) was held yesterday with the participation of Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. Prime Minister Yıldırım said that the capital city Ankara has started to stand out in a few areas in the last 10 years and that one of these areas is transportation and logistics infrastructure. Prime Minister Yıldırım said that Ankara also became the center of defense industry and that 3 out of the world’s top 100 defense companies were in Ankara.
At the meeting Gürsel Baran reminded that they expressed the importance of domestic and national production on every platform as ATO and said: “We are proud that our armed forces use domestic production weapons and ammunition. It makes us immensely proud that almost all of these are produced in Ankara and majority of these by the organizations that are members of ATO.” As a token of gratitude, Baran presented medals to ATO Members ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, Nurol Holding, Baykar Makina and Katmerciler, which make the domestic and national production of the weapons and ammunition used in Afrin Operation. Nurol Holding Chairman of the Board Nurettin Çarıklı received the presented token.
