In Lapseki District, Şahinli Neighborhood, steps were taken for the community development move that aims to strengthen the training with practices and applications and empower their competencies to the international standards level, prioritizing Human Resource Empowerment/Skills and Vocational Education and women’s employment.
It was prepared for education with needs analysis and market research conducted by expert teams, establishing tailoring, filigree, computer literacy, and office management workshops and furnishing with machinery and equipment.
In the development project, which will create alternative job and employment opportunities following the termination of mining activities in line with sustainable mining criteria, the purchase of occupational health and safety clothes produced at the end of the training given in the vocational branches within the scope of TÜMAD’s local purchasing and local employment policies and the sale of the products to be obtained through silver processing with the e-marketing method are among the primary objectives of the project.
