Asisguard and Nurol Makina have signed a cooperation agreement for the Nigeria Road Safety Project. The agreement was signed by Barış Düzgün, General Manager of Asisguard, and Engin Aykol, General Manager of Nurol Makina.
Turkish defense industry companies join forces for internal security project in Nigeria. As part of the Road Safety Project, Asisguard will procure the YÖRÜK 4X4 armored vehicle from Nurol Makina.
In his address at the signing ceremony, Barış Düzgün emphasized that the 2.5 years of effort have led to the signing of the contract in Nigeria. He underscored the incorporation of various products such as drones, VTOL aircraft, surveillance towers, and command and control centers in the project. Düzgün expressed his belief that this collaboration will serve as a model for similar projects in the future.
Engin Aykol noted that while their vehicles have been utilized in numerous African countries previously, this marks their first venture in Nigeria. He mentioned their goal to complete the delivery of the vehicles intended for operation in challenging terrain within the year.
