The first 10.7-kilometre stage of the 21.4 kilometre Ordu Ring Road, whose construction was initiated in 2012, has just passed 98 percent completion. The first stage of the road starts at the Perşembe Intersection of the Fatsa-Altınordu Ring Road and passes through the Terzili District to link with the coastal motorway that skirts the Black Sea. The section includes three tunnels with a total length of 6.5 kilometres, a 44-metre long bridge, five double-bridges with a total length of 2.5 kilometres, and six intersections, two of which feature bridge crossings. The asphalting has largely been completed for the tunnels and viaducts of the ring road, although recent landslides between the exit of the Öceli Tunnel and the Öceli-1 Viaduct on the already-completed parts of the Ordu Ring Road have delayed the road’s inauguration.
