Through the ceremony executed on March 15th, 2014 with the participation of Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan H.E. Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and distinguished guests, the caisson foundation structure of the north tower has been submerged to the sea bed prepared by soil treatment at a depth of 40m, through a sensitive submerging process of 12 hours via 32,000 tons of water filling.
