The collaboration between two Turkish defense and aerospace industry companies with investments in the UK has yielded its first results. Signing a cooperation agreement at DSEI 2023 in London in September, Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) group companies AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS, along with Nurol Makina UK, have made significant progress in their joint project. Nurol Makina’s EJDER YALÇIN 4×4 vehicle, equipped with the VENOM LR 30×113 mm cannon produced by AEI Systems and UNIROBOTICS’ remote-controlled weapon system (RCWS) TRAKON, conducted test firings in the UK. In a written statement released by SYS on December 12, it was mentioned that the next phase will involve test firings with the stabilization system activated. SYS, one of the world’s largest firearms manufacturers, acquired the well-established British company AEI Systems after deciding to invest in the UK. Nurol Makina, one of Türkiye’s leading military vehicle manufacturers, has expanded its operations with Nurol Makina UK, established strategically in the UK. The two Turkish companies have bolstered their presence in the UK by combining their operations in a joint project.
