Holding the Turkish Defence Industry’s export champion status thanks to its export of 8×8 wheeled armoured vehicles to Malaysia, the FNSS, reported in its statement on 10 December that it signed a new agreement with a Middle Eastern Country being a friend and ally, worth of 360 million dollars for the modernization of the M113 armoured combat vehicles. With this agreement, the FNSS has increased the number of the signed agreements with the aforesaid country to 6. The statement reports that the vehicles to be produced within the scope of the last signed agreement will achieve a much more advanced level of performance and reliability compared to other modernized M113 vehicles in the world. According to the rankings performed in various sources, the export of armoured combat vehicles by the FNSS, placed among the world’s first 10 land defence industry companies, to the Middle Eastern countries will exceed 1 billion dollar in total with this agreement. The agreement will also make the FNSS one step closer to its goal of 500 million dollars annual turnover.
